- Avoid Sun Exposure:
Minimize sun exposure and tanning beds for at least a week before your treatment to reduce the risk of skin irritation and sensitivity.
- Discontinue Certain Products:
Refrain from using retinoids, exfoliants, and other harsh skincare products for a few days leading up to your treatment, as they may increase skin sensitivity.
- Stay Hydrated:
Maintain adequate hydration by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Well-hydrated skin tends to respond better to treatments.

Be sure to inform your provider of any recent skincare treatments, medications, or medical conditions to ensure that your treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs.

Lip Blush
- Any waxing or bleaching treatments should not be carried out for at least 2 weeks before/ following your appointment.
- The lip blush procedure does not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, you will need to take your medication or any Herpes medication from the chemist such as Zovirax once a day for at least one week before your appointment as this will help to reduce the chances of an outbreak. If you have ever had a cold sore, you carry the virus. You may need to discuss this with your GP in order to obtain a prescription to avoid an outbreak. Please click on the link below to learn more about anti-viral medication. https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/aciclovir [nhs.uk] I also recommend the preventative coldsore balm for all lip treatment client LIPIVIR. You should order it in advance from their website and apply one week before the service.
- Olivia cannot treat the lips if you have an active cold sore.
- Ensure you are moisturizing and exfoliating your lips well in the lead up to your appointment. Dry skin will not retain pigment and sore lips cannot be treated. Natural ingredient lip balms are preferred over vaseline. Lip scrubs are readily available online or in beauty retailers. The better condition your lips are in before the treatment, the better the results!!
